Yuno: A New Generation of Stacking Tables

Andreas Krob's Award-Winning Design Revolutionizes Space Efficiency

Andreas Krob's Yuno, a multifunctional stacking table, is a groundbreaking design that redefines the traditional folding table. This innovative design, which won the Golden A' Furniture Design Award in 2017, is a testament to Krob's ingenuity and commitment to ergonomic and efficient design.

The inspiration behind Yuno was to enhance the traditional folding table, focusing on ergonomics and efficiency. The goal was to minimize the number of parts and integrate the connection between tables, reducing the effort needed to set them up. This design concept is a response to the need for high efficiency in placing tables and chairs in large rooms.

What sets Yuno apart is its unique property of allowing tight stacking without the need to fold the frame. This feature makes it especially suitable for large areas where space efficiency is paramount. The design of the table's legs enables them to stand side by side, and they also serve to fix the tables to each other, eliminating the need for additional fixations or manual actions.

The Yuno stacking table is a product of advanced design realization technology. It features legs made of rectangular tubular steel with die-casted aluminium parts and a lightweight tabletop. This combination of materials ensures the table's durability while maintaining its lightweight characteristic, making it easy to handle.

The project, which started in mid-2015 and concluded in mid-2016, was exhibited at Orgatec in Cologne in October 2016. Yuno is described as the smart alternative to the folding table, pioneering a new generation of stacking tables. Its high-quality design makes it suitable for various settings, including seminar rooms and creative spaces.

Yuno's innovative design has not gone unnoticed in the design world. It was awarded the Golden A' Furniture Design Award in 2017, a prestigious accolade granted to outstanding and trendsetting creations that significantly impact the world with their desirable characteristics. This award is a testament to Krob's talent and wisdom in advancing art, design, and technology through his creations.
